On September 30, 2017, Ashay by the Bay was recognized by the members CAAASA (California Association of African American Superintendents and Administrators) in Long Beach at their annual roundup conference, She along with several Superintendents and presenters were saluted for their commitment, dedication and contributions in education in California.
