Summer 2021 is finally here and so is Father's Day and Juneteenth.  And probably this year, Juneteenth holds an additional significance.   Not only does the Juneteenth Celebration signal the beginning of the emancipation for African Americans who were enslaved in 1865, but in today’s era, it also signals a newer freedom for most Americans, and a return to a more normal way of life, pre COVID.  FREEDOM!! (But don’t fall asleep.)

People can now feel safer gathering again freely with their families, friends and with others in the community.  Most people have already received their shots and others are still skeptical.  Do what you think is right, but continue to protect yourself and others by wearing a mask as needed in public and washing your hands.   

Most schools are out for the school year and summer vacations have started.  Yeah the Kids really need a break.  We will be taking a much needed break too, but we will continue taking orders on and offline for our customers.   So thankful for my Ancestors and feeling blessed.
