Happy Kwanzaa and Happy New Year!

Happy Kwanzaa and Happy New Year!

Kwanzaa arrived December 26th and continues through New Years Day.  But in my mind Kwanzaa is everyday. I have been celebrating Kwanzaa for many years now and I incorporated these African inspired principles into my daily life in various ways. These principles represent the basic foundation and spirit of my Ancestors.   Here is the Nguzu Saba or The Seven Principles of Kwanzaa that helped empower me and my business.

As we move into the New Year, we can look back at 2020 and with all kinds of thoughts and feelings about the COVID Pandemic. One thing for sure, is that it was crazy, disruptive and challenging but it also forced one to slow down and to look within.  By changing our pace and focus (and not giving in to the fear) it opened new doors of awareness, healing, growth and opportunity’s. It was like a rest button, pivoting us to depend on our faith and creativity to make our lives better (or worse) and to step up to help others.  I am a witness and giving thanks to surviving 2020.

I am so looking forward to 2021 with a clear mind and renewed spirt. Whatever happens, we have all been made stronger.  But for me, I know that it is going to bring more positive energy into my life and my business.  My purpose has been planted and after 20 years building it is blossoming from the fruit of my labor.  Thanks for continuing to support Ashay By The Bay. Please continue to stay safe and be prepared. Warmest wishes to you and yours for the upcoming New Year!
