It's been both an interesting and challenging year but much was accomplished. The small downtown Oakland bookstore located at Kenyan Safari Designs at 1411 Webster Street closed on December 2nd. I gave it a year and decided to move on. And now the Multi-Cultural Children's Books Store Holiday Pop Up closed Dec. 29 to reopen mid January. Both were great opportunities for me to collaborate with other like minded women in business and education.
But Ashay by the Bay is going to continue to focus on core business by providing books and educational materials to Public and Private School Districts because I feel I can be more effective and make a greater impact in education. And I will continue to focus primarily on books for Black Children because I know our children are the most underserved. Look toward an exciting year and wishing everyone a great New Year and much Prosperity and Success. Moving Forward!
