On December 17th we celebrated our Grand Opening Day at the Hilltop Mall Store. This store is a Holiday Pop Up that will be open until December 31st. It is a collaberation between West County READS, Ashay by the Bay and Tamara Shiloh. West County READS is an established literacy organization located in Richmond. It is led by Robin Y. Wilson, who is the Executive Director, she is well known in West Contra County for her advocacy in providing books and literacy access for children. Tamara Shiloh is a new author and publisher and a Richmond native. Her publishing company Just Imagine, has several new titles that focuses on black scientists and inventors.
This store has the largest display of African American and Multi-Cultural Children's Books in the Bay Area! Our selection is huge and of course we have some super deals. We have an amazing collection of books for people of all ethnicities including: African Americans, Asian American, Native American, Spanish Bi-Lingual and Middle Eastern. Come visit our store and I am sure we will find a book for you. We are working together to raise funds for West County READS, and to bring all these wonderful books to the community. We are open Sunday-Monday 11-6 and Tuesday-Saturday 10-8. Remember, books make great gifts!
