My Summer Vacation Pilgrimage to Kemet

I haven't blogged in a while and so it's nice reconnecting with my customers.  I took some much needed time for a vacation/pilgrimage to Egypt (aka Kemet) and it was more than I could have imagined.  Our tour leader, Professor Manu Ampim, teaches African Studies here in the Bay Area.  Through his expert guidance, myself and 18 others visited all the ancient historic sites in Kemet from Cairo, to Luxor to Aswan.  During this 15-day exploration, we climbed and crawled through Pyramids, and we visited Monuments, Temples and Museums.  We sailed down the Nile, read the hieroglyphs (Medu Neter) and learned so much about the many Kings and Queens and how they ruled.  My favorite sites on this trip were the Pyramids in Giza, The Valley of the Kings and Abu Simbel in Aswan.  I also enjoyed the time we spent at the Nubian Village, their history is very important to the overall story of Kemet.  This trip was an educational tour and a journey of a lifetime.  I would recommend it to anyone who is seeking a deeper connection with Kemet and knowledge of self. The hotel accommodations were excellent too.  Kudos to Movenpick located on Elephantine Island. The feast they prepared for us the day before our departure was the very best!   We had a great time overall and I highly recommend this tour. The Professor is planning the next Classical Africa Educational Tour next year from June 10 - 24th  If you are interested you can contact him to reserve your space.  His email is manuampim@gmail.com.  His book A History of African Civilizations is available online.
